Transitions

  1. Stage 4.  A tune about - , well, maybe you’ll figure it out.  Doesn’t matter, you won’t like it. Too introspective. I suggest you skip this one and go to the next one. Done.  Except for mastering.  And a little re-mixing. But, really, done.
  2. That Mexico Song.  A song about escape. This seems to be my favorite topic right now.  Thanks to Kelli for offering creative guidance in setting up tempos, rhythms, and vocals, and to Christy for loaning me a spanish guitar with such a beautiful sound!  Done?  Probably. Maybe.  Or maybe I'll re-do those vocals.  They are kinda bad ….
  3. Cigarette.  Adjust your speakers, includes autoplay music!!  Ever want something sooooo bad that you knew would end sooooo bad?  Me too.  This is it.
  4. Whippoorwill's Ballad.  Adjust your speakers, includes autoplay music!!  One evening I heard a whippoorwill here, which has, sadly, become  a very rare event.  I heard them often in the fields at my grandmother's home in southern Mississippi when I was young.  It seemed to carry me back to those days, when she would tell me what they were saying.  I wrote this tune using only instruments that I imagined would've been used by people sitting on my grandparent's porch, when whippoorwill's would have provided the background.
  5. Annie Shrugged.  My angst erupting.  Yes, I'm a crotchety old man.
  6. Joy.  A simple song about being reunited with an early love.  That sense of closure.
  7. I Don't Care.  More angst, but I seem to be coming to terms with the situation better.
  8. Hello, Karen.  Loss.  Sometimes the fates are cruel.
  9. Luvr9.  Adjust your speakers, includes autoplay music!!  An unexpected moment of pure indulgence.
  10. Appeal?  Next on deck.  Lyrics mostly complete, hammering out a tune between the tears.  I don't like what I have so far.  The amazing quest in finding my best friend. Fates -  WTH?!?
