Jacquie

June, 2003

Shhh!  It’s Jacquie!

Jacquie steps onto her stage,

My world dissolves to a script page.

She takes my soul, captures my heart,

In her new role, she’s in control.

Oh, Jacquie, could you act a part for me?

Could you act with all your heart for me?

Could you act like you’ve noticed me?

A tilt of her head, a flip of her hair.

A subtle wink and I’m right there.

There’s no else but she and I.

Just one kiss, and I would die!

Oh, Jacquie, could you act a part for me?

Could you act with all your heart for me?

Could you act like you really care for me?

The curtains drop, the lights return.

There are others here now, and I yearn

For the time we had.  She’s just acting.

‘Til the curtains rise again!

Oh, Jacquie, could you act a part for me?

Could you act with all your heart for me?

Could you act like you’re in love with me?

Oh, Jacquie, could you act a part for me?

Could you act with all your heart for me?
